I was delighted to receive two submissions following my request on Wednesday for “more voices” to be published in Strange Times. Sometimes you throw out an idea and wonder if anyone will respond – so thank you BJ and Tohid for responding to my call and being the first brave folk to express your thoughts in Strange Times.
Today, I want to present BJ Manning. BJ is based at the office in Temple, TX, and is our Accounting Coordinator.
BJ’s words:
My name is BJ and I have worked in the Temple, TX office for over 20 years. I’ve had many different roles throughout that time, but with them all, I have to say, the company has always treated everyone like family, and I am proud to be a part of the StrasGlobal family.
At the beginning of the pandemic, our insurance broker contacted us about offering special insurance, to insure that our employees had the opportunity to get coverage, if needed. We started the process right away, even though a month later we had our regular open enrollment. StrasGlobal provided us the essential pay during the beginning months, I am sure it came in handy for many people. Every day, every week there is something changing, and StrasGlobal is staying on top of it to make sure that our safety is the first priority.
One of my favorite sayings is: “There is no “I” in team”. During this time of uncertainty, we should all be grateful for what we have and stand together, at least 6 feet that is. Unfortunately we have to adjust to the changes of time whether we like it or not. We don’t know what the future of the world holds, but if we stick together we can get through anything as a team, a family.
Thank you, BJ, for submitting your thoughts and I would encourage everyone to participate who would like to do so. We are a team with many voices.
Stay well,
Roy
